The structure of the neurological centre includes an outpatient department, the Department of Functional Studies of the Nervous System and the Visual Diagnostics and Rehabilitation Department. Medical Center provides diagnoses and treatments for patients of all ages.
Radiologist
Our radiologists provide the referring physicians and their patients with the highest level of diagnostic interpretation. Our radiology team includes a variety of sub-specialists bringing greater knowledge to each diagnosis.
X-Ray Technologist
Our x-ray technologists are courteous, caring healthcare professional. Each technologist comes from a three-year college or institute program. All X-ray technologists are required to complete and pass the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists national registry examination. Each technologist is licensed by the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
Bone Mineral Density Technologist
Bone density scans require minimal and brief preparation. If you’ve recently had a barium exam, had contrast material injected for a CT scan, or nuclear medicine test, ensure you let the clinic know. The amount of radiation you’re exposed to is extremely low.
Mammogram Technologist
Our mammography technologists are highly skilled and respect the personal sensitivity of their patients during all stages of this examination. Already being CAMRT certified, they all pursued and completed the courses and training for mammography specialization. This team performs over 20,000 exams annually on state-of-the-art digital units, the most in the Ottawa area.
Sonographers
Our sonographers are highly trained and highly experienced team of professionals who specialize in OB/GYN, abdominal, small parts (scrotal, thyroid), and vascular imaging. Our team performs over 60,000 exams annually on state-of-the-art ultrasound units. Our technologists are extremely sensitive to the personal comfort of our patients all throughout their exam. Our sonographers are all required to be registered with CARDUP/Sonography Canada, CMRITO or (ARDMS), an independent, non-profit organization that administer examinations and awards credentials in the areas of diagnostic medical sonography, diagnostic cardiac sonography, vascular interpretation, and vascular technology. The CARDUP and ARDMS are globally recognized standard of excellence in sonography.
